Passport Extension

The Government of Trinidad & Tobago is presently issuing Machine Readable Passports (MRP) to citizens of Trinidad & Tobago. The previous Trinidad & Tobago passport (T-series) issued after January 31^st, 1994 has been replaced by the new Machine Readable Passport (MRP), applications for which are being accepted at the Trinidad & Tobago Consulate General in Toronto. All T-series passports MUST be replaced by the new Machine Readable Passport (MRP).

The facility of an extension of the validity of the previous passport (T-series) is available to persons who hold ONLY a Trinidad & Tobago passport and do not hold a passport for another country. However, such extensions will be granted in the case of an emergency such as illness, death, work, study or immigration matter. 

An application for an extension of the current type passport must be made by submitting the following to the office of the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago:

1. One (1) completed application for Passport Extension - Form C
2. Current Passport
3. One (1) Passport size photo
4. Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
5. Canadian Citizenship Certificate (Large Commemorative Certificate -- NOT CARD)
6. CDN$10.00 money order made payable to the “Consulate General for Trinidad and Tobago” to return passport via mail
